Auli is beginning to gain popularity among ski enthusiasts. Although long, stressful travel and unpredictable weather can be mood killers. You can’t be sure until you get what you expect. Few lucky ones can enjoy snowfall and skiing. If luck is not on your side, a blizzard can lock up your room for days. For some, hard, hard snow takes away the fun of skiing. Although GMVNL has imported snow paddle, it can’t provide new snow paddle experience. There is a long ski lift connecting the lower slopes to the upper ones.
artificial lake
The highest man-made lake in the world is at Auli, right next to the private Clifftop Club hotel. The government developed this with the aim of creating artificial snow on new ski slopes in case of low snowfall. The water from this lake will be used to feed the snow guns stationed along the ski slopes thus providing a good ski surface and extending the ski season.
opinions
Auli is surrounded by high peaks like Mana, Kamet and the tallest of all Nanda Devi. The 270-degree view will make you forget the long and tiring journey to Auli. Once the skiing is over, the best thing one can do in the evening is to take a chair and enjoy the wonderful view of the snow-clad mountains as they continue to change colors every minute the sun goes down. Here you will understand why the sixth (sage) came to the Himalayas to meditate. The feeling of solitude and oneness with God works wonders on your mind and has a positive effect on your body. You will not get any money you can buy “peace of mind”
